Traveling through space at 60,000 miles per hour since August 2011, the Juno spacecraft is preparing to arrive at our solar system’s largest planet on July 4! As Juno nears the gigantic gas planet, it will power down most of its equipment, slow its speed tremendously and allow Jupiter’s extreme gravitational field to capture it in orbit.
